Damn, this man right here kicks ass! His finnish band has a lot of quality players, but Alexi Lahio really shreds his guitar apart. One of my favourite bands

matter a fact, i am currently practicing from a video from Alex and the other new guitarrist. Classic scales. The guy plays really fast. the video is called " a passage to the reaper ". it is a entire classic song, divided in 5 parts/lessons.
i dont like fast stuff, but when a guy doesnt know what to play, it has a bit fun..

I got it Through Direct Connect ( DC++) and connecting to a metal HUB, Portuguese or Finnish, I dont recall...but I use to connect to both of them. Always want to check up with FinlandĀ“s fresh news about : Soilwork , Nightwish ,Charon, For My Pain, Children of Bodom (thou i do not listen a lot lately)...err...and a few bands that i cant remember now. How can 1 single country have 5 ou 6 metal bands with albuns and on tour, and success, and then we look at our country and only see Moonspell ? (and sometimes Ramp). England also has the same example (mother of examples) with Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride,Anathema and others.
well...I am leaving the subject..lol...but, that is a good video (too fast) but good. but i cant reach the half of the video without getting my arm hurting for a week...

For a first listening of this "progressive, goth, power metal" i strongly recomend the "FOLLOW THE REAPER" album. It is not a band wich i listen to a lot, but that album i listened to it for a few months. good melody. The single is also cool, not very progressive "Everytime I Die"...(that must hurt ) and this song also has a videoclip, that I also think a good cli....HOLLY SHIT!!! REHARSAL TIME!!Cya later!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Follow the Reaper is one of their best albums. After that, in Hate Crew Deathroll they changed a little their sound, it's a little more thrashy, in my opinion, but still i love it, those great guitar and keyboard solos are still there Keep on rockin'
